It will never completely eliminate a scar if it was a large mole, but it helps diminish it significantly. You have to remember, the body is replacing old tissue with new. The skin you have had for decades is old, so the new tissue will always look different than the older skin around it ;) I look at moles as time bombs, they can be set off at anytime in which the immune system starts to fail, or the body is under a lot of stress. These moles are already mutated tissue from the rest of your bodys normal tissue, so if you have a lot of free radicals running around in the system, it is easier for them to attack an already abnormal set of cells. Just like when a doctor diagnoses a "pre-cancerous" spot on the face. That spot it already mutated from normal tissue, and is more than likely one day going to turn cancerous if the conditions permit it. My grandfather had a bunch of moles and the doctors told him to put SP 30 sunblock on them whenever he went out in the sun. Within one summer of him following those directions he had a number of them turn fully cancerous. That is probably because ALL of the sunscreens on the market have toxic chemicals (free radicals) in them, even the ones that claim to be "natural". There is only one that I use, and it is manufactured in Australia but you can get it from a site called bionutz.com based out of the US. I would use the coconut and Emu oil to reduce scarring as much as possible. I actually put coconut oil on my face every morning when I get out of the shower, it is an awesome moisturizer!
