I know what you mean...with the psycological damage but i just go out there and face it. I've had this over a decade i'm 19 so i've grown up with it and i dont talk about it with any family members apart from my mom...i also have to think ahead with this....i'm black and when my lips were raw it would look like i wore lipstick i had to endure this for at least 2 times a week and deal with the questions over the years. I keep myself to myself, i'm young and talented at what i do....i won't let it stop me. Believe me there is a cure but i doubt you'll find it from a common doctor or dermatologist. I've lived with this constant pressure for years, it has confused me alot but it isn't nothing compared to other major diseases....its humbled me.

uum..for cures ..its mostly opinions ...some work for people and some don't

Look around the forum and take a pick lol.. i'm trying castor oil and i believe i have a thyroid problem that may not relate to my lips but i got all the symptoms that point to a thyroid problem.
