i was really hoping for a little more creative thinking about it.

the symptoms of iodism are what we are all familiar with either having or hearing about. but none of them seem like a catastrophe(in fact i like the runny nose as it tells me i have plenty of Iodine circulating and breaking up mucus and fat). i would imagine that anyone having this info and getting those symptoms would basically stop or keep the dose low enough to remain subclinical. i believe this would prevent anyone from breaking through with enough Iodine to start getting the benefits by keeping the dose low and/or the length of time the supplementation takes place limited. the guy actually sells lugols!

the iridology was interesting. i meant to look at my eyes today but didnt get to it.

the thing about the organ damge is also interesting in light of recent findings about death and reviving/resuscitating people who have been clinically dead for any length of time. they have found that the cells in a body that has been "dead" for 15 minutes are actually very much alive. they die the second they are re-exposed to oxygen. the thinking is that pumping such people full of oxygen, manually pumping the heart and the getting it beating right away with paddles is what causes cell death. the new procedures being considered are to slowly oxygenate and some other things before restarting the heart and getting oxygen circulating again.

with this in mind, Iodine then can potentially pose a danger to cells that have been so poorly supplied with blood and clogged with all manner of putrid matter and chemicals, running anaerobically and then bang! the oxidizer iodine comes along like dirty harry on meth.

i know this much - most everyone, including myself, who has done well on really big doses of iodine have been those who have spent considerable time and effort cleaning up to begin with. i say i wish i had started with iodine, but god knows what would have happened in the condition i was in, which was all but dead and buried. in fact, when i did come to iodine, i took those 65mg KI nuke tabs and after a few of those i was the most miserable person on the planet. all my symptoms worsened and it was already all i could do to endure them the way it was. i walked a trapline in the artic and i have been outdoors in a T at -65 F and i have never ever been that cold before or since. reminds me now that when i mixed my lugols, the 50grams of KI i mixed in less than 100ml to get started turned as cold as ice.
