As to being cautious, when I did this, I checked my BG twice, 1/2 hour apart, to get a baseline, then checked it an hour after each lemon water dose. I would have stopped immediately if there was any significant drop. (I've never heard of anyone dropping dead from drinking lemonade from a lemonade stand and you can be sure it is stronger than a 9 to 1 concentration. As I said, at least with these generic lemons, no effect. I ended the 4 dose run 20 points higher than when I started. I dumped the rest of the lemon water on 2 of my 4 mums. I'm going to also see how they effect plant growth.
