My daughter just dx'd with pcos based on lab work 7 weeks after stopping yasmin and not getting her period. I feel the results could be skewed in that they don't know what phase she is in. Her total testosterone is slightly elevated (70 in a range of 8-60) and her androstenodiene is 4.6 (range .3--3.5). Her other results are fine except cholesterol of 218. Her Vitamin D also is very low at 19 and her ferritin at 13.9 (range 4.5--170). Although docs recognize Vit D low, they said ferritin normal because it falls in range. Her sysmptoms are tired & weak which i think could be due to low ferritin. She had normal ultrasound, and her glucose is ok at 81 (high is 105). She also is very thin but has gained unexplainably some weight around her waist......her hair was great until she went off yasmin 2 yrs ago and 5 months later fell out & hasn't been the same since. Also she is worried about Acne which she feels certain will return from going off yasmin. She is worried she will be infertil and worry about all things associated with this. Any comments will be helpful, thank you
