I don't know what the best way would be. But, some things that I would try --

Read a long time ago that Fenugreek Tea will clean out the little tubules in the kidney. (Soak the seed overnight, then simmer for a minute & strain.) Whether it just cleans out the mucus or other things as well, I do not know. Since the Fenugreek is so rich in lecithin, perhaps just taking lecithin would help.

Perhaps the dissolvers like lemon juice/cider vinegar would help?

My two favorite diuretics are Fennel Seed & Dandelion Root.

And, Kelp helps everything.
