Hello,

I am a follower of the Blood Type Diet . I do not follow Peter D'adamo's ER4YT but I follow his father, James D'adamo, who pioneered the Blood Type Diet . His son (Peter) took it mainstream and it has lost it's individuality. His father believes in sub-types in your blood which has a dramatic affect on your diet and exercise.

My blood type is A with a blood sub-type of B. I have my own personal diet that fits my blood type and deals with my health issues. I can eat turkey, lamb, chicken and specific fish and tofu. He also outlines the best vegetables and spices and teas. Yes, I have to avoid dairy.

I have read the majority of books out there about diet and lifestyles. One post mentioned maker's diet and weston price. They do have good information but I believe it should be modified to your blood type. Noone benefits from the Standard American Diet (white flour and White Sugar ) and my guess is that the people that Weston A Price studied were Blood Type O since they were meat eaters. Dr Mercola followed the son (Peter) when he probably had a sub-blood type that would have had an affect on his diet and excercise.

I have always returned to Dr James D'adamo's diet and finally decided to go the the D'adamo Institute (http://www.dadamoinstitute.com/). It was the best decision I have ever made and wished I would of gone sooner. You can check out what he believes and it will take you to his books.

I have a friend who is almost 60 and I've been talking about the Blood Type Diet . She was sceptical but looked at it one day. She noticed that she is allergic to everything that Type A's were told to avoid. She finally said "If I would of known about this earlier I probably would of avoided some of the health problems I have now." Unfortunately she probably would of disregared the diet back then.

Hope this helps,
theanne
