Hi all,
I am thinking of recommending Iodine to a couple of older neighbors. One with weight issues and general health decline because of that; the other who is borderline diabetic, has precancerous skin stuff going on, etc. I read a while ago here that Iodine can help with bromine stored in fat and I wonder if that weight gain that so many associate with metabolic changes due to aging might not be in part bromine fat storage. (My belly got pretty flat with no reduction in eating/no increase in exercise after I started iodining.) Any suggestions, insights, or comments you all can give in terms of a supporting argument would be appreciated -- as I think about how to suggest this I get a bit nervous because I realize how "out there" this might/will seem to those who don't hang around here, and I want to make a strong case to these folks. I have a feeling that Iodine could also help with mental issues like clarity and chelating some of those metals that can cause various diseases. But I would like to make a strong case here for Lugol's supplementation (rather than just dose 'em!)
I have noticed several posts of late exhorting people to do research -- please know that I am out of town and using a computer that blocks pop-ups, or I would look around the archives myself.
Gratefully,
Laura
