It did not hurt at all when I took it out. The cords were long because he hadn't trimmed them yet so I am guessing that is another reason I could get it out easier. I was so desperate to have it out and I was not waiting another day to have it removed. I reasoned that since I had just recently had a baby that my cervix was soft and that maybe it would come out easier. It is so flexible that it comes right out. Trust me if it would have hurt I would have stopped immediately. I figured there is only one way for it to come out. I didn't jerk it out or anything like that. To be honest I was surprised at how easy it came out.
