The most effective way of managing pests involves monitoring the health of your soil. Compost. Monitor the ph of your soil. Different plants enjoy different types of soil. Cultivate earthworms and beneficial insects such as ladybugs & praying mantis'. Practice companion planting. Everything loves yarrow! Weed judiciously. Interplant..confuses the little buggers! Despite all this, there are times when "pests" declare their supremacy...and I don't know of anything that works on all of them...if anyone does, please let me know!
