I'm not trying to crucify you, I wouldn't persecute anyone. I've become sort of desensitized to that accusation because I know that people don't really believe that of me (at least I truly believe they don't). All my life, whenever I talk to ANYONE about anything whether it has anything to with God or not, people start to resent me after a while that I'm not a "yes man" (I am opinionated, but I think people also start to feel guilty that I continue to be nice to them even after disagreeing with them) and they all of a sudden (outrageously) accuse me of having sinister intentions against them (which I know they don't really believe, AT LEAST I don't believe they do). So, when I read that you think I'm trying to crucify you, I just can't believe that to be true, but this is a DEBATE forum. I show people respect by TRULY debating them (I'm opinionated).
An American soldier who chooses to also use the Italian Army Manual as their own personal guide would no longer be an American soldier (and could not be an Italian soldier either). It is the same with Christiany (either/or, all or nothing). If someone wants to learn about a culture of peace and how to build a utopia, the academic interest must remain only academic. In Christianity, no spiritual beliefs can be based on text other than the bible and gospel of Jesus Christ.
