these discomforts are the second best indication that what you are doing is having some effect. the first is the disappearance of unwanted symptoms, of course.

one must always be mindful that both can backfire. discomfort can(rarely) be a portent of real trouble and the relief of symptoms, especially if they happen fairly quickly, can more frequently be a mask while the underlying "pathology" festers or morphs into something worse.
