Don't try to wiggle out of it. Excuses are only manufactured (fabricated) disguises of the REASON someone does something (the NEED to ignore and discredit what the other person said because acknowledgement is not helpful to YOUR intentions, in other words, "agreement" would NOT SERVE "your purpose"). It is a defensive position because you know you are wrong, but have no other possible defense.

----------"it's up to that person" is a cop out. It means that you don't have anything good (valid) to say in support of your "disagreement" and you're going to "allow" (trust in/hope) the other person to find fault in what they said (typical of human nature, we CAN be trusted to find fault in ourselves, and you exploit that tendency towards self-persecution well).

The reason that evil (and all forms of it, nastiness, confrontation, schemes/head games, etc.) continues is because we don't CALL it "evil" (we call it "sneaky", "naughty", etc.). Even many decent people will continue to do what they KNOW is wrong until they are discovered AND exposed so that they have to admit to themselves that what they are doing is wrong. This is why we are also told that "...God is light...", He brings everything into the light and shows it for what it really is, (1 John 1:5). In that way, He creates evil where there was thought to be none, "I form the light and create darkness, I make peace and CREATE EVIL; I the Lord do all these things" (Isaiah 45:7 King James Version, other versions may not be so explicit).

Jesus tells us clearly that He is the TRUTH (John 14:6, but we refuse to actually understand what we read, we'd rather bureaucratically and scientifically INTERPRET) and we read the "book of truth",...A word of God (2 Timothy 2:15) from long ago (although still applicable).

Do your scriptures explain anything to you about the human "mind" and what makes humanity "tick" (what makes the human being a PERSON/living "soul")? It is the tendency to do what you have done without necessarily having any evil intent. How "relevant to life" is your God?

Who was Pilate talking to when he said "What is truth?"?.....My God IS God.
