Actually, I don't. Based on how I've seen people reporting how they use iodine, and all the confusion and argument it has caused, I am leaning towards the conclusion that Iodine should be regulated, as a drug, and be made not available to the general public without a doctor's written prescription.

What I do advocate is exchange of information, and it is true that I have posted a few writings from licensed physicians who have asserted that most people may be deficient in iodine. But this does not mean that I advocate Iodine supplementation for most people.

There is not agreement in the medical community about iodine. Clearly, more research is needed before appropriate conclusions can be drawn. Until such time, given the uncertainties, iodine has high potential for abuse.

You previously asked me what I recommended for you relative to iodine, and my reply was that you consider seeking a doctor and having an iodine load test done. That still stands; nobody should take iodine without appropriate supervision
