My personal opinion, for what it's worth, is that none of this makes any sense to me. Shutting down all the supplements and alternative medicine businesses would be $$$$$$$ lost in revenue, 1000s of jobs lost, etc. Would all those who have turned away from conventional medicine, go back to it, paying for office visits just to get supplements, therefore the $$$$$$$ lost being regained on the other side? I don't think so. This whole world operates by GREED and $$$$ are the only things that mean anything. How many multi-million dollars are involved in the alternative health care business? Is the government willing to give up that revenue, cause how many health food stores to fold, deal with the lose of how many jobs, etc? What would this do to the precious Dow Jones? Somehow I can't help but think this is a smoke screen covering up something far more sinister that we aren't able to see.
