I know what you mean! I also wonder WHY, when this is such a common diagnosis in animals (which it is) that it is such a leap for docs to think it could happen to people too. My dog I am sure had it, thinking retrospectively (dog is no longer living). If you think about it, most pet owners give human treats to dogs. And, commercial dog food has a lot of additives and such. It is not very surprising that this would happen. I really wish i had known about candida when my dog had the symptoms.
BTW, have you tried the fermented veggies? I just started on them and am truly amazed at how fast they work. I feel better than I ever have since getting candida - and I have only been on them 2 days. Granted, I had accomplished a lot of healing before I ever got to the veggies, which means I did not have that far to climb up, but even so, I find them miraculous.
