I haven't been that impressed w/ most probiotics either. I took inulin for
a number of years. I am now using a new liquid one I just heard of,
Living Streams, which one must keep refrigerated. It is very potent and
knocked out an incipient ear infection I was getting last Jan., with
just 4 drops in my ears (2+2). I took it with me on a cross-country
plane trip recently and did not get sick. This is not to say that I would
have gotten sick had I not taken it, but taking precautions is always
a good thing, when you are cooped up with people who are sick for
hours and hours breathing recirculated air, as in a plane.
