High quality Sea Salt is somewhat moist and grayish in color (although I recently saw a display in Whole Foods that had pink, red, tan, black and a greenish salt!) and is not processed in such a way that allows it to easily and smoothly pour. Hain's salt has been processed and, while it may have started out as real Sea Salt , the end product is not the same. Some folks here swear by Himalayan salt which is pink. I have no experience with it so cannot comment. Real Sea Salt can be quite expensive and I have found the best bargain with Eden's sea salt that is sold in jars. Whole Foods carries it either by the other salts or by the microbiotic foods.
