I would think these foods are okay, in moderation. Particularly if you're getting adequate Iodine/Trace Minerals.
I like to make sauerkraut. It is converted into a non-goitrogenic food.
Cauliflower is great - steaming the little florets for about five minutes, then chilled & used on salads. (Tastes kinda fresh that way.)
I have wondered whether making coleslaw a few hours before eating, is better after being in contact with the salt/lemon or cider vinegar, more like sauerkraut.
