Although some 'believe' that small doses are effective, there are holistic MDs that have researched and proven (via clinical studies on over 6,000 patients with various illnesses, FBD included) that internal doses in the 50mg per day range are also effective. Dr. Jarvis recommended small doses; other healers/physicians of his era recommended and utilized dosages that seem outrageously high to us now (for asthma/bronchial/heart issues, some ole timers prescribed dosages in the 1000-6000mg range daily). Just fyi, 1000mg equals approximately 160 DROPS of Lugol's.
