A pharmacist was discussing alternative remedies. He recommended oregano oil as an alternative to Antibiotics . He said it works not only on bacteria, but also is effective against flu and colds. Tests have compared it to equal to Vancomyacin. A lot of bad info about it not being effective is out there. I use it avidly and it has worked every time, but once. I have used it against all flu, sinus inflamation, colds, bladder infections, sore throats etc. I take 4 capsules, three times a day when illness first strikes and until it begins it let up, then I take 2 capsules 3 times a day until symptoms have been gone 3 to 4 days.

On one really bad case of flu, I was taking 4 capsules a day for more than the usual 3 or 4 days. It was more like 7 to 10 days. Something wonderful happened. My Psoriasis cleared to no more than 2 or 3 tiny spots. I only had Psoriasis on my legs, but they were large and covered a lot of area. They had been there for well over two years. When new spots try to start up I take 4 capsules for a brief period, a few days, and they are gone.

This product is called oregano oil, but it is NOT the oregano we cook with. That is actually often a type of mexican sage. The oregano oil capsules are actually the Hyssop plant that is found in the Meditteranian area. The Bible says, "Wash me with Hyssop, and I shall be clean." There are cleansing qualities in the plant and my skin has been greatly helped by it.

I use Natures Way Oregano oil. It contains 75% to 85% carvacrol(50mg) and 25mg flax seed oil.
