I don't know anything about this event, but I do know that women (wives, sisters, friends, coworkers, etc) can develop into NPD, as well. And, it's pitiful about the children of the rich and famous - just because one has the financial resources to "raise" a child, doesn't necessarily mean that they will be the best candidates for parenthood.

In order to drive, we must have a license. We must have a license to own and operate a business. We must have a license to go fly-fishing. We have to have a license to serve liquor in our establishments. We must have a license to operate an 18-wheeled semi. We must have a license to teach children the basics of education. We do not need a license to produce offspring. Go figure.
