I always liked the story of his fasting under the bodhi tree.

I am fasting short fasts to work up to longer ones. The longest I have fasted is 4 days. My current fast was going to be 5 days but I am settling I guess (unless I change my mind between now and tomorrow) for 54 hours, which is 12 hours longer than my most recent fast (last week. ... I am lately fasting short fasts weekly.)

I would like to fast a long time but have to learn how to do this. i am using this forum to lengthen my fasts -- to educate myself and raise my comfort level with fasting. And to discipline my between-fasts eating habits. It's working!!! It really is. I want to stay connected and committed to posting here and reading. I love it when people go on really long fasts. I hope to hear all about your fast.
