I would say that he should get his bloodwork done, especially for Lymphocytes, Neutrophils, etc.

These are the cells that are supposed to find and kill cancer cells. Chemo and radiation often kill the immune system and this may be why he is having the sweats. The body struggles and raises its temperature to produce more white blood cells.
