Thanks again. That was a facinating article. I will read the other two parts of the series this weekend. What is really so fascinating to me is the myopia we humans have when it comes to knowledge. Something becomes accepted and anybody who challenges the accepted facts becomes a heretic. We know the earth is round, but look how long it took to change that way of thinking? There are so many flaws in the theory of evolution, but many people won't even consider the evidence. And no, I'm not trying to initiate a debate, I am just using it as an example. Global warming is another example. Is it real, does man cause it? People seem adamant on either side.

I just had a conversation with a coworker of mine. He asked me what the bottle was on my desk. I told him it was iodine. He said, "isn't that poisonous?" At least he seemed to have an open mind about it when I explained a lot of what I have been reading. I have been hesitant to bring up Iodine to a group I sometimes "talk" to on a diabetes forum. I am going to record my journey on Iodine before I do. If I have good results (yes, I used if) then I plan on bringing it up. I read of people over there with thyroid issues and doctors wanting to kill their thyroids and I just want to scream. Thyroid issues and diabetes go hand in hand. It seems to me it doesn't have to be this way and I am going to prove it, I hope.

My Dad, love him to death, can be very closed-minded about certain things. He'd have a hairy fit if he knew I was trying to treat my diabetes this way. I still see the doctors and I do a lot of what they say to do, but I have resisted several things and will continue to do so. Statins are killers in my opinion and I won't use them. My Dad is on them and I worry for him. Heck, he doesn't even know I have diabetes, can't stand to hear the lectures. I wonder what he will say when I tell him I HAD diabetes and cured it? I wonder if I can do it before June?

I have done a lot of reading the last few months. You all have been so helpful. Others on other boards have been just as helpful. I am about done formulating a plan for my treatment and will publish it on here soon for feedback. Some of the things I have been doing kind've piecemeal (iodine, cleanses, etc.) but I am thinking that something more comprehensive will work better. I just need to get there. Anyway, thanks for welcoming me and thanks for reading.

Regards,
Bullhead
