Hi N

I have a small question on the ISO whey. I wonder how this substance is digested in the body, this article got me confused:

"Five of the seven patients who finished the study had positive responses. The two who felt no benefit were the least ill to begin with. Cheney speculates that their healthier digestive systems might have more fully digested the whey, making it less effective. It's very important that all whey products be taken on a completely empty stomach so that no acid or digestive enzymes are present to break it down. Some patients even take an antacid 30 minutes before taking whey to reduce that possibility."

I though that the ISO whey was "soaked" up by the body and feeding organs and the liver with all the goods (amino acids) thus increasing the livers gluthathione procuction?

But then I found this from an other article:

"Liver glutathione concentrations have been shown to be more than twice as high in whey & casein-fed rats than in soyabean-protein fed rats. [JOURNAL OF NUTRITION 125:809-816 (1995)]."

Hm...I am confused. I thought that a strong digestion would be key to deliver as much of the nutrients in whey possible throughout the body.

Thanks :)
