All "silver" Amalgams contain mercury as part of their makeup. Every one of your 4 fillings has mercury, which is why your dentist won't give you a straight answer. They side step the issue, or they tell you it's harmless and doesn't come out.
Which is bollocks. They have proof it mostly definitely DOES come out in the form of vapours and in fact, the rate it comes out increases upon eating, drinking hot fluids, chewing/grinding, and the general environment of the mouth/saliva breaks it down also far more than if it were anywhere else.
Funny how they treat it like a toxic waste and won't handle it, but they're happy to put it in a warm moist environment in the mouth, just below the brain, where a lot of chewing and heat goes on ;-)
Amalgams are cheaper and easier for the dentist to place. THey mold easier into the tooth. Mercury is like that, it's quick silver, so it is a big part of this process, which is why they love using it. They do NOT care what damage it is doing to our health in the process. The ones that are concerned, stop using it. The other ones who are still using it today are without excuse. It has already been banned in places like Sweden. Plenty of painful testimonial letters to the ADA online for people to read. Forums everywhere for people toxic with this. Lucky are those who remove their Amalgams and are cured. Most struggle for years trying to detox themselves and can come thru it. Some do not.
Mercury tends to accummulate in the tissues/organs and brain. It builds up over time and some people, like myself, tend to hang onto it, rather than eliminate it. I am also sensitive to it as well and other toxic metals. But mercury is the most toxic metal you can get. It is second only to plutonium in toxicity. Can someone explain why this stuff is even considered in dentistry??? even remotely risked????? Im astounded at it, considering it breaks down. They say the release is insignificant, they are WRONG. Doesn't take much mercury to poison a person and if it's done slowly but surely over time, the person is chronically poisoned and often goes from one health trial to another, searching for answers, not finding them and being told they are neurotic. Until of course they remove their Amalgams and find they start improving. Not easy to improve though, first you have to encourage the stored mercury to come out. The detox from mercury is probably one of the most hellish experiences one could endure.
