Hi. I don't know what's most commonly suggested, but I analyzed the Oil Pulling survey results yesterday at

and many of those who took the survey said that oil pulling cured their Acne and similar skin problems as well as teeth and gum problems, apparently in an average of 5 to 6 weeks, or possibly less. I posted the results of the survey at the OP = oil pulling forum at

Oil pulling involves putting a teaspoon or more of oil in the mouth and swishing it around for a few minutes, up to 20 minutes or more and doing that once or more a day. Most people spit it out when they're done, but I swallow it, because the oil is very nutritious and the saliva is supposed to be recycled by the body as with eating normally. Sunflower or sesame oil is usually recommended, but people also use olive oil, coconut oil, flax oil etc. I personally wouldn't spit out olive oil, coconut oil, or flax oil, because they have the most needed fatty acids.
