Hi Rob,

Well, I don't know where to start. My mother had a cancerous tumor that was cut out about 1 1/2 years ago. She was receiving chemo once a week for about 5-6 months. She was told that the cancer was gone. However, it came back, and it was more aggressive that before. She has now been told that she has stage 4 rectal cancer. She has a tumor in her intestine and one near her abdomen. She also had fluid in her lungs which had to be drained so she could breathe better. We have been told that she has about 6 months left to live, and about 2 years if she continues with chemo and radiation. As of today, they are going to try and shrink the tumor in her intestine with radiation so it won't block her bowel movement. She has been throwing up from the chemo, and I'm not sure just how much radiation she can take.

Rob, she is all that I have left. My father died about 26 years ago from a heart attack. His death was sudden, but I just can't sit by and watch her waste away and not do nothing about it. As I'm writing this, my brother is on the way to the herb store to pick up a pound of Pau d'Arco. This herb store is nationally known (Penn Herb Co.), so I do hope that the quality is good. After reading what you have wrote, I just said to myself that I have to try something. I always believed that she could beat this naturally, and I have read quite a few articles about the Nat'l Cancer Institute and the American Cancer Society, and the news is quite disturbing. Rob, can the Pau d'Arco tea be taken while you are on chemo? I want her to start this as soon as possible, and she is still in the hospital, so doctors are all around her. She also has an IV which is feeding her as well. Any advice you can give will be much appreciated. If there was some way that I could talk to you over the phone on via e-mail, please let me know. If not, I do understand.

Thank you for your time.

Rodney
