Oregano is one of my favorite essential oils. I have a friend who had been trying to conceive for several years and all but given up being able to have a child. She started using oregano oil for a skin condition (successfully healed). The next month she was pregnant.
Now, there is NO PROOF that the oregano oil is responsible for her pregnancy, but my thought has always been that she just needed to clean her receptor sites (cells) so they could RECEIVE and oregano oil can and will clean receptor sites:
[Phenols and Phenylpropanoids]
Phenols and Phenylpropanoids are compounds of carbon-ring molecules incorporating on isoprene unit. They are sometimes call hemiterpenes. There are dozens of varieties of phenylpropanoids. They are found in Clove (90%), Cassia (80%), Basil (75%), Cinnamon (73%), OREGANO (60%), Anise (50%), and Peppermint (25%).
While they can create conditions where unfriendly viruses and bacteria cannot live, the most important function performed by phenylpropanoids is that they clean the receptor sites on the cells. Without clean receptor sites cells cannot communicate, and the body malfunctions, resulting in sickness.
My feeling is that for anyone who is having trouble conceiving, oregano oil is worth a try. Clean receptor sites is the first step to helping the body heal and inabling it to function as it was meant to.
Has anyone had experiences/benefits using oregano oil? It is an amazing essential oil!
