I've heard about Texas and the legal tangle it is for women, in particular.

I'm so grateful that your daughter is seeing an abuse counselor!!!! Hopefully, she'll begin to see the onion layers fall away.

God bless you for caring enough - too many people refuse to "get involved," and the children are the ones that suffer the damage in the cruelest terms. At least, adults can rationalize and use their life's experiences to attempt to explain what happens. A kid has no means of reference.

You mentioned your curiosity about what this man might fear - he fears his cover being blown.
