Hi there MH,
I was in a car accident on jan 20th which resulted in a bleeding kidney, a damaged lung and a perforated small intestine. I had surgery 2 days after i was admitted to the hospital since the doctors didnt detect the perforation 'til a few days after... Im recovering i guess, but im worried about the chance of obstruction in my small intestine. i hear surgery is the number 1 cause of bowel obstruction in adults. I've always did my best to take care of my digestion, intestines, so i guess its a bit ironic for my small intestine to have gone through such crap... aaah life. ANy input would be nice.. do you think theres any way to help the intestine heal its best and possibly avoid such bad situations as obstruction? im freakin out. thanks
