as for iodine, there was in the 1920's an indian man who studied in england,
he got very sick, was about to die, when he spent some time on the coast of france
where they happened to burn seaweed for potassium i think. Staying there healed him of his maledy, and he as he was a medical student, began to find what exactly healed him.
