My son in law fits this profile exactly. He is so good at his manipulation and
control and mean words. I have seen the damage done to my daughter.
She is insecure, self-depricating and has a damaged self view.
Amazingly she defends him--although having left him and knowing she cant go back into the darkness.
My concern is my little grand children. How can these mean but oh-so-well placed and timed words be nullified. I fear that as they grow older, he will become even
more defeating and destructive to them. What is the best thing I can do for them
to prevent or deflate damage. I dont think he sees the children as unique precious individuals--but as objects of some sort.
He sees them weekly--with the mom in attendance, now.
But later, no one will be there to soften the verbal blows.
He has already said mean things to the little girl--about her voice,
or her hair---please, she is a little child.
Any wisdom. I appreciate it. I could never have imagined such a personality
much less, understood it!
