Go get a diagnosis. I had a bad case of shingles in the same area you describe. I hate to say this, but I opted for the medical drugs. There is a drug, that if you take it 72 hours after your first outbreak, can help relieve long term neurological pain. I know of many that did not take this drug and suffered. I got the drug almost at the 72 hour mark and have suffered moderate damage.

It's a hard call. I know what I'm saying won't be popular, but I do care about you.

I dont' think this drug was steriods.

First thing is a diagnosis and go from there.
