I have had the Mirena IUD for about 4 - 5 months...almost immediately I started feeling really low...I decided to go back to work early (my daughter was only six months old) because I had always found enjoyment at work, but soon after I started feeling more and more depressed. The last couple of weeks, I have not even been able to function, I cry at nothing, I fight with my husband over nothing, I haven't been getting along with co-workers the same as I used to...what is happening to me??? Finally, I decided to bring it up to my boss, as I knew she noticed the difference in me (I used to be the model employee). She mentioned that she went through a similar situation on Depo Prevera. And click.....could it be this new IUD??? I have used the copper IUD's in the past, never a problem, I thought I would search the net, and here you all are...maybe I am not losing my mind after all???

I have also noticed a think mucous discharge, ever since I had the IUD inserted, has anyone else noticed this???
