Iodine is one of the reasons why predators eat the guts of the animals they kill, and leave the meaty carcasses for the vultures.

the meat that sells for $ 20 a pound as prime steak is actually of less value than the 59 cent liver.

many object, saying that liver is where all the toxins are stored.

wrong

the liver is not a sponge, that absorbs toxins and when it fills up, the animal dies.

liver rather is a dynamic instrument that is relatively free from toxins, by definition, in healthy animals.

so, the wealthy eat the steak

and the po folks eat the liver
