being an AC high voltage unit, yes it is quick. Iam doing 10PPM at 4hrs. 5PPM should get you in the 2hr area., the quality is extream. Crystal C.. nano particle and best surface area. AC slowly etches the silver off the rods or coins. stright AC current. the unit is UL approved. heavy duty.
