What I think what happened:
New people end up on Support Forums and ask questions and the posts get deleted.
I would guess this discussion then ended up on the Alkaline Debate forum.
Then the subject became so popular and Webmaster created the Discussion forum, when it kept growing it became (yesterday) a support forum and the discussion name was changed to debate forum.

A lot of forums over the years started out this way.
