Try Weather Bos. This finish will not only seal out water and protest the wood from UV damage, it creates a monolithic bond with the wood meaning you will never have to reapply it as it becomes part of the wood after applied. This finish is 100% natural and does not give off any toxic fumes so there are no worries about feeling lightheaded or anything like that. The website weatherbos.com has a section about how other finishes are harmful for people and the environment. Also, yes they do make a version that can darken wood, it can be polished as well and look great. I would think you could get this shipped to Norway. Remember to use "The Boss" and not Marine Boss or Deck Boss or any other of those variations as they are designed for the specific purpose of this name ie: Deck Boss is for decks, otherwise you may not get the results you want.
