Abcess, root-canals, fillings and previously extracted teeth - result: ill health by uhb1232 ..... Ask AHarleyGyrl: Amalgam

Hi Torrie,
I don't know where to begin, I had amalgam fillings done when I was very young due to cavities. They continued to mess with my teeth by doing partial root-canals and then extracting teeth for the benefit of braces. I had one molsr pulled in my teens which has since been covered up by an extended crown (tooth in front of the extracted one). I have bone loss as a result. Now, that's all on the left side.
The right side was botched up beginning with a partial root canal years ago which formed an abcess. The abscess was drained and later mended by a complete gutta percha filled root canal and a crown. On this tooth I have had continuous puffy gums since the procedure but everyone tells me it looks fine and I just don't floss correctly. Recently I had two more gutta percha stuffed root canals done on the same right side one of which was a 'penetrated root' one (an about 1mm deep penetration). Although it doesn't give me puffy gums it is somewhat knocking sensitive (when I bang on the crown with my fingernail or a spoon). The second root canal is on the last molar and doesn't seem to give off any ill vibes (yet). The third tooth is upper last one which was healthy, however it was crowned (partial root canal) because it slipped into the gap below and the lower crown didn't fit. This was a big mistake to have them crown a healthy tooth I know.
All in all I have 5 crowns on the right (molar and pre-molars), 2 silver and one white filling.
Left side, two previous extractions (one with bone loss), six silver fillings, one double crown with partial root canal.
How would I go about restoring my mouth without it being too traumatic.
I have just found out I have multiple health issues because of my teeth and don't want to compromise my health any further but at the same time get my teeth issues resolved quickly.
Another thing, although I have state substituted dental insurance (for poor people) which doesn't cover healthy holistic/biological dentistry and I have just paid over $6000 in dental work in the last year I am completely broke.
Is it possible to address each tooth one at a time to save money or is it advisible to do them all at once?
If all at once I would have to opt for extraction of all filled, root canaled and crowned teeth which would leave me with only the front teeth.
I live in NYC and would like to stay here to have the procedures done in hope that my state dental insurance at least pick up some of the cost.
Can you please help me or advise me whom to contact in my city.
Thanks.
Ulla
