Hi, We purchased a distiller from eBay. It was the Sears model that looks like Waterwise, I believe the 9000 model. We got it for around $50 which I thought was a bargain. it was new and works great. I put the water in the sun for about an hour with a few grains in the water and then add a pinch of Sea Salt before I put it in the fridge. I got all of these ideas from Owen's page. See it up at top, he has great suggestions and a section on early puberty.
The modifilan is brown seaweed extract. It was developed for the Chernobyl nuclear catastrophe. I think it really helps her. It is suppose to pull metals out of your system and enable you thyroid to function properly. I take it also.
Some days my daughter eats all raw, others a little less. If nothing else, I try to buy all organic. Smoothies and raw desserts are the best way to get a lot of fruits into them. And she usually has one green salad per day. I can put raw sesame seeds, almonds, sunflower seeds, flax, etc. into a smoothie. Do you have a vita-mixer? I make ice cream with it. VCO is also important and I put a tsp or so in her smoothies. Check out the raw desserts, they are awesome. I think if she eats a green salad per day, then the rest of the time she can eat just fruits. There are a ton of fruits that kids like.
Just the fact that these measures stop her from having further menses is great motivation for my daughter and I don't have to do any nagging. I don't keep junk in the house, so whatever and whenever she wants to eat is pretty okay with me. I also have pretty flexible meal times. If she is hungry fine, if not, that is fine also. She is thin and trim and I am trying to get her to listen to her body and only eat when hungry.
hope this helps, Aloha
