I've been plaqued with "tonsil stones" for a long time and they are truly awful. I started getting them very frequently since moving to Las Vegas and I believe I know why. Since moving here I've had recurrent sinusitus due to all the air pollution here. The more mucus build up in my sinuses the more tonsiliths I'll get. Anything that removes mucus (like the Master Cleanse) should help. When I feel sinus pressure I will take a turkey baster in the shower with saltwater and flush my sinuses out through my nose. Sounds funky, I know, but it seems to work. You can also purchase a nasal saline mist from the drug store.

Also, dairy could be the cause. Try cutting back on your dairy and see if there's a difference.
