I know how you feel... I just went thru about a month with edema/eczema - it was awful! I just posted about it. have you ever tryed a liver flush? These things are usually improved by doing this. It's cheap and you have nothing to lose by trying it.

I have the book Prescription for Nutritional Healing By Phyliss A Balch and James F. Balch M.D. Some of the supplements reccomended are:

- Betaine HCI, a form of hydrocloric acid. People with dermatitis often have low levels of hydrochloric acid. Cauion: Do not take this supplement if you suffer from stomach acidity.

- OptiMSM, a patented form of methylsulfonylmethane

- Vitamin B complex, 50 to 100 mg of each major B vitamin 3 times per day. Needed for healthy skin and proper circulation. Aids in reproduction of all cells. Use a high-stress, yeast-free formula. A sublingual form is recommended.

plus B3 (niacin) 100 mg 3 times day, Important for proper circulation and healthy skin. Do not take niacin if you have a liver disorder, gout, or high blood pressure.

and B6 (pyridosine) 50 mg 3 times a day, deficiency has been linked to skin disorders.

and B12 1,000 to 2,000 mcg daily, Aids in cell formation and celular longevity. Use a lozenge ora sublingual form.

and biotin 300 mg daily. Deficiency has been linked to dermatitis.

- Essential Fatty Acids (black currant seed oil, flaxseed oil, primrose oil and salmon oil are good sources. Take as directed on label. Promotes lubrication of the skin.

- Kelp, 1,000 mg daily. Contains Iodine and other minerals needed for healing of tissues.

- Vitamin C with bioflavonoids. Use as directed on label. Inhibits inflammation and stabilizes cell membranes.

- Vitamin E, 400 IU daily and up. Relieves itching and dryness.

- zinc, 100 mg daily. Do not exceed this amount. Aids healing.

There is much more, but this is what is listed under 'Essential' and 'Important'... you might was to take a look at the book under Dermatitis.

Herbs teas or capsules that may help are dandelion, pau d' arco, goldenseal, myrrh, and red clover.

Caution: Do not use goldenseal on a daily basis for more than one week at a time, and do not use it during pregnancy. If you have a history of cardiovascular disease, diabetes, or glaucoma, use it only under a doctor's supervision.

To relieve itching and promote healing, mix goldenseal root powder with vitamin E oil, then add a little honey until it is the consistency of a loose paste. Apply this mixture to the affected area.

Chamomile can be taken internally or used to soothe the skin. It reduces inflammation.

Grapeseed extract contains oligomeric proanthocyanadins (OPCs), which reduce inflammation and rid the body of toxins.

The cheapest and fastest relief is a liver flush. It takes 3 days of preparation... to soften the stones and one night to work. See the complete directions, follow up with a pure water enema and a organic coffee enema to release more toxins from the liver... a clogged liver is probably the source. It may take a few Liver Flushes with some time (a few days or a couple of weeks) between.

Easy and inexpensive directions for liver flush:
