With the abundance of Black-Walnut s in my early childhood, I don't remember ever throwing them against a wall. Just reading the above posts about Black-Walnut bombshells...boys are such throwers!

I do remember at the site of the school balck walnut, in first grade, Jason Willett threw one at me and gave me a black eye. I went home and told Mom. She said, "That means he likes you!"

I question her logic to this day.
