I don't recommend using distilled water for enemas. When you do, the natural process of osmosis causes water from your colon to be drawn into your body, thus unbalancing the concentration of minerals and electrolytes in your system.

Rather I would suggest that you use a neutral (isotonic) solution for enemas consisting of one teaspoon of non-iodized Sea Salt or plain table salt for each pint of water.
