John, you are regurgitating stuff you've read, and heard without any understanding.  All those issues have been properly addressed - you are simply wrong.   Like in other cases of people who believe in weird stuff, it is not about data, but about psychology.

A failure in their part to make rational connections (like you often do) and embrace the unlikely because it offers some comfort, it addresses your fears or what ever other personal deficit you possess.
