Hi. I had a stone in my bile duct and had the surgery Dec. 30, 2004. I didn't try cleansing. I was breastfeeding at the time and wasn't sure it would work. I feel okay without my gb and don't have any complications. I was scared to do the surgery, especially after reading some experiences on this site, but it turned out okay. Of course some people would say I could have complications down the road, I don't know. But I wouldn't rush into it. I probably would have tried the cleansing if I wasn't breastfeeding. The whole concept of cleansing was new to me at the time of my surgery and I didn't know anyone who did it. I wouldn't say I regret my surgery, at least now I don't.
