I have been doing tons of research regarding Gallstones and whether or not to get the gallbladder removed. I am supposed to have surgery next Friday and I am VERY against it. My gut instinct is telling me not to do it. However, people are freaking me out telling me that my gallstone which is 1.3cm could get stuck in my bile duct and then I will have several complications. I haven't had any symptoms for about 2 weeks.
My main concern is that I am going to Thailand in March for 16 days and don't want to have any issues while I am there, like emergency surgery. However, I feel like I am rushing into surgery because of that exact reason. I would rather leave my gallbladder in and see what happens. I'm told people can live their whole lives with gallstones. I'm also afraid if I try to do a cleanse it will get stuck in the bile duct. I've seen pictures of some of the stones that people have passed. Oh my! It has got to be painful and do they come out of the colon? Any advice would be helpful. Thank you.
