oh my goodness!
i sure wouldnt expect that to happen!
did you use organic, unrefined, cold pressed oil? what soap did you use - did it have any added ingredients?
i am surprised your head didnt feel any different. perhaps the many months you spent away from SLS your head had already detoxed?
you mention you have had hair falling before - so do you know what caused it the first time? if you have a chronic health problem related to falling hair maybe the detox brought on symptoms?
i repeated the procedure recently and had less good results the reasons for this was 1. did not have a good 'seal' with the towel (allowed air to get in overnight) 2. not enough olive oil on the scalp, did not cover entire scalp with good enough layer.
could either of these reasons have affected you too?
have you used the soap and olive oil on your skin before? could it have been an allergic reaction?
also, just checking, but did you rinse the soap off before putting the olive oil? im sure you must have but from the way you wrote it just have to be sure!?
one thing i can think of is maybe the oil pulled out some deep seated toxins (those that maybe caused your hair falling the first time) to the surface where they had another chance to affect the follicles...or if you use any other chemicals on your hair eg hair dyes this could happen as well, or if you are chelating heavy metals maybe?
or maybe it is a detox symptom specific to your body - were you detoxing when your hair fell before?
i notice when oil is in the hair it pulls more on the hairs and so as much as you would normally lose in a day would come out at once. what was the amount of hair that you lost - if you have weak follicles anyway then the extra friction of the oil may have caused more hairs to be pulled by the action of washing.
what i would do is to look at what caused your hair falling the first time and go from there..
i am sorry your hair is falling - i hope it is not much!!
